Advanced Recycling and Energy Recovery Project for the City of Kigali – Rwanda
The project aims to bring the plan for a commercial scale plant in the city of Kigali to a financial close. The plant would generate green electricity from Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and supply it to the grid to alleviate the shortage of electricity in Rwanda.
The initial plant will utilise the MSW by diverting what would otherwise go to landfill. The plant will be capable of processing 400 MT per day and generate approximately 80mW/h electricity from the WTE Syngas.
