EEP S&EA Project portfolio
The Energy and Environment Partnership Programme of Southern and East Africa (EEP S&EA) focuses on bridging the gap between a good idea and a bankable project by providing part-financing to project proposals. These projects include various types of feasibility studies aiming at concrete investments, pilot, scale-up, demonstration, replication and rejuvenating projects.
By June 2017, EEP has been funding 225 projects in all 13 partnership countries. Total funding for the first phase (2010-2013) was 25 million Euros and second phase (2013-2017) over 35 million Euros. EEP supports projects in all sectors of renewable energy and energy efficiency, including solid biomass, biogas and biofuels, solar PV, wind power, clean cookstoves, waste-to-energy, hydro and wave energy.
