Announcement for the tenth call for proposal

As a challenge fund, the EEP S&EA Programme is seeking high-quality applications for projects in the that can contribute to the reduction of poverty by improving energy security while mitigating global climate change. The EEP S&EA Programme Window 2 – Market Creation – is now also open for concept note applications.

The submission deadline is January 9th, 2014 at 13h00 (South African time, GMT+2).

The CFP10 – Market Creation – is funding viable RE and EE projects that are close to commercial maturity and have prospects for scale-up. Such projects must have at least completed the feasibility phase and should meet the requirements outlined in the accompanying Concept Note (“CN”) Guidelines.

The maximum grant allocation for a selected CFP8 project can fall in the range € 200 000 – 1 000 000 depending on the level of verifiable project co-financing brought in by the project.


EEP S&EA Knowlegde Exchange Forum 2014

The EEP S&EA will be hosting its first Knowledge Exchange Forum (KEF) on 29th October 2014 in Johannesburg, South-Africa.

The KEF focuses on connecting networks between actors in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector, and moreover between the EEP current and potential project developers and national contacts. One of the main targets of the Forum is to share valuable lessons learnt between the participants. KEF is an open Forum for all interested.

Participant list will include the donor bodies, national focal point contacts, ECO team, EEP Project developers, relevant stakeholders and other ones interested.

In participation to the event is free of charge.

Apply for the EEP Project of The Year 2014 title!!

The EEP S&EA will be hosting its first Knowledge Exchange Forum (KEF) on 29th October 2014 in Johannesburg, South-Africa. The KEF will also announce the winner for the EEP Project of Year (2014).

We warmly encourage every EEP project to apply for the nomination. All project developers, including the completed projects, are welcome to apply.

3 Simple Rules for the Nomination:

1. You must be either currently (ongoing project) or previously (completed project) granted for the EEP S&EA funding.

2. Send your application to address  using a topic “EEP Project of the Year”

3. Include your project code and name and short description of why you should be voted the  EEP Project of the year 2014!


We will invite the finalists to present their projects in the KEF and where the winner will be announced.

The winner will be rewarded eminently!
