The aim of the project was to design and implement an integrated chamber, wood retort made of local bricks, with product gas utilization and distillate removal system that would be efficient, environmentally friendly, affordable to local entrepreneurs and easy to operate and maintain. This retort system consisted of four small-scale integrated chambers where product gases would be utilized to dry raw materials.
