The project sought to improve the briquette technology to facilitate development of a sustainable briquetting. To achieve the objective, the project was to carry out a feasibility study and demonstrate the viability of briquette production; build business and technical capacity of briquette producers; modify existing briquette equipment to make it more efficient and adapt to the needs of customers; and support entrepreneurs through mentorship and coaching to succeed in the provision of energy services especially to the underserved. The project was also to assist the entrepreneurs in accessing financing to support in the growth and expansion of their briquette businesses.
