EEP Africa invites nominations for the 2023 Rising Energy Leader award!

 

The Rising Energy Leader award shines a spotlight on young professionals who are leading the clean energy transition in Africa. Leaders are not limited to founders and CEOs, this award is also meant for those working as a leader in multiple capacities within their company. The nomination deadline is 15 December 2023.

 

Up to a maximum of five (5) nominees will be selected for recognition as leaders in the sector. The winners will be invited to participate in the virtual EEP Africa Knowledge Week during 5-9 February 2024. A profile of each individual winner will be developed and shared via social media and the EEP Africa website.

 

Who is eligible?

Any young person (no older than 35 years in 2023) who has added value to a project funded by EEP Africa.

 

What do we look for?

  • A strong commitment to advancing the clean energy transition in Africa
  • At least 3 years of experience with clean energy technology, sales or business models
  • Demonstrated professional growth or achievement within the company
  • An emerging leader with goals for the future

 

How to apply?

Fill out an online application form and upload a copy of your CV (in English) and details about your connection to the EEP Africa portfolio (name of project developer and your relationship to them). Include contact information for one reference (i.e. supervisor, colleague, mentor) from the relevant EEP Africa project developer.

 

When will the winner be announced?

The 2023 cohort of winners will be presented at the virtual EEP Africa Knowledge Week during 5-9 February 2024.

The Rising Energy Leader award shines a spotlight on young professionals who are leading the clean energy transition in Africa. Any young professional (no older than 35 years in 2023) who has added value to a project funded by EEP Africa is eligible to apply. The nomination deadline is 15 December 2023.
