Gommyr is a specialist renewable micro grid project developer and service provider offering consulting, engineering, project management, project development and system integration founded in 2012. Gommyr covers the technical and economic aspects of localised power solutions to provide energy solutions for productive use, communities, industrial and commercial power users.

Project Description

Gommyr Power Networks Ltd is launching GoHubs — solar-battery microgrid hubs delivering ice, cold storage, and cold-chain transport to boost the artisanal fishing sector in Nova Mambone and Pomene, Mozambique. These hubs will reduce spoilage, improve processing, and expand market access for 300+ fishers and resellers, supported by an advanced platform to optimise energy use.

Outcome and Impact

Impact Highlights:
✅ 2 hubs producing 72,000 kg of ice
✅ 24,000 kg cold storage capacity
✅ 300,000 liters of purified water
✅ 32 new jobs — half for women and youth
