E-Ride Zambia is a Lusaka based engineering startup. With a team of young professionals, E-Ride develops and manufactures large solar batteries and electric vehicles connected via IoT that can be used in the cities but also targets rural communities. The company’s mission is to build and sell useful, robust and affordable solar battery packs and e-vehicles for African conditions.

Project Description

E-Ride Zambia is developing affordable electric motorcycles and battery packs for rural conditions while building a mainstream e-mobility and battery backup service in Lusaka and Chupata. The project includes finance options, maintenance, driver training, remote monitoring, and battery-swapping stations for delivery services, with tailored solutions for farmers and female marketeers in rural areas.
