ANGAZIWA LIGHT UP A VILLAGE

Angaziwa Light Up A Village was a rural electrification program in partnership with the Kenya Tea Development Association (KTDA). The program targeted KTDA farmers in rural Kenya and assists them to access micro-solar products for lighting and phone charging.

 

Outcome and Impact:

This project created 186 direct jobs were created as Renewable Energy Agents, 5 of these permanent roles. 10 additional jobs were created for installers. Over the project period Barefoot Power reached 3,708 households with consumer loans to obtain a SHS.
