EEP Africa strives to provide companies with tools and resources to help them succeed in the challenging and rapidly evolving clean energy sector in Africa. Project Guidelines

EEP Africa provides guidance to its portfolio companies during the planning and implementation of their projects. Guidelines on project administration, financial management, branding and marking can be found here.

E-waste Toolkit

EEP Africa, in partnership with CLASP, has compiled a set of resources to support companies overcome many of the barriers to e-waste management and recycling in East and Southern Africa. In this toolkit, project developers will find best practices for off-grid solar e-waste management, resources on local legislation, and recommendations for recycling services.

Sector Events

Africa’s Green Economy Summit (22-24 February 2023) taking place in Cape Town, South Africa. The Summit brings the global investor community, project owners and business executives focused on green transport, renewable energy and clean technologies,  together with African governments, cities, and policy makers to pave the way for an inclusive green economy and a sustainable future. The theme in 2023 will be “Driving the green economy investment strategy”. Learn more here.

The ARE Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF 2023) (21-23 March 2023) will take place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. EAIF  is the top annual business and finance event for the renewable electrification sector, enabling and fostering business and investor partnerships for the purpose of sustainable electricity access, decarbonisation, economic growth and fighting against climate change. Enlit Africa (16-18 May 2023) will return to Cape Town, South Africa fwith a world-class exhibition, showcasing the latest technology and services on offer in the sector, under the theme The multi-dimensional, multi-sectoral energy transition.

Known for its compelling content and speakers, the organisers will not disappoint, with two keynotes and all of the content presented in speaking hubs on the expo floor. Conference delegates will also be able to enjoy the networking and site visits that the event has popularised for over two decades.
