Project Guidelines

EEP Africa provides guidance to its portfolio companies during the planning and implementation of their projects. Guidelines on project administration, financial management, branding and marking can be found here.


E-waste Toolkit

EEP Africa, in partnership with CLASP, has compiled a set of resources to support companies overcome many of the barriers to e-waste management and recycling in East and Southern Africa. In this toolkit, project developers will find best practices for off-grid solar e-waste management, resources on local legislation, and recommendations for recycling services.

Sector Events

The Africa Energy Indaba Conference (1-3 March 2022) is an annual programme that shapes energy policy for the African continent, discussing, debating and seeking solutions to enable adequate energy generation across the continent, contributing to improved health care, better education and opens up economic opportunities in both urban and rural areas in Africa. The event will be hybrid: a virtual conference and exhibition in Cape Town. Learn more here.

The Sankalp Africa Summit (1-4 March 2022) is the Global South’s leading platform where business meets development. The theme of this year’s summit is Mainstreaming Impact, which will discuss the imperative for business, corporations, governments & individuals to pivot to an impact-driven economy, presenting an opportunity to solve the world’s most pressing challenges. The SEforALL Forum  (17-19 May 2022) is a landmark global gathering that brings people together to take stock of progress, showcase success and identify solutions to achieve faster, broader gains towards sustainable energy for all. It serves as a platform to broker new partnerships, spur investment, address challenges and drive action towards realizing SDG7 and a global clean energy transition. Enlit Africa (7 – 9 June 2022), formerly African Utility Week and POWERGEN Africa, is the leading platform that gathers Africa’s power, energy and water community for 365-days a year to meet and inspire each other. The community will come together for three days in a hybrid format in Cape Town in 2022. Learn more here.

The Africa Energy Forum (21-24 June 2022) is a hybrid event that will be held in Brussels under the theme ‘Africa for Africa: Building Energy for the Just Transition’, before starting our journey to Nairobi, Kenya, the 25th Africa Energy Forum will be hosted. The event will unite governments, utilities and regulators with development finance institutions, commercial banks, power developers, technology providers, EPCs and professional services.
