Project Guidelines

EEP Africa provides guidance to its portfolio companies during the planning and implementation of their projects. Guidelines on project administration, financial management, branding and marking can be found here.

E-waste Toolkit

EEP Africa, in partnership with CLASP, has compiled a set of resources to support companies overcome many of the barriers to e-waste management and recycling in East and Southern Africa. In this toolkit, project developers will find best practices for off-grid solar e-waste management, resources on local legislation, and recommendations for recycling services.

Carbon Credits Analysis: Cookstoves

This Carbon credits analysis interactive tool for cookstoves assesses the scale required and payback period for businesses to recoup the amounts spent in registration and access to the VCM.

Sector Events

African Energy Indaba (5-7 March 2024) will be organised in Cape Town, South Africa. The conference will discuss, debate and seek solutions to enable adequate energy generation across the continent. ARE Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF) (21-23 May 2024) will take place in Lagos, Nigeria. EAIF is the Alliance for Rural Electrification’s annual investment event for the renewable electrification sector, fostering business and investor partnerships for the purpose of sustainable electricity access, decarbonisation, economic growth and fighting against climate change. The event aims to bring together up to 1,000 in-person and virtual delegates, including private and public investors, industry and invited government officials. Learn more here.

Sustainable Energy for All Global Forum (3-4 September 2024) will be held in Bridgetown, Barbados. It is a platform for governments, business and finance leaders, entrepreneurs, youth and community representatives from around the world to gather to drive progress on universal access to sustainable energy.  The 2024 event will focus on just and equitable energy transition.
