The project was a pilot which intended to demonstrate sustainable livelihoods at village levels, in Botswana, through agricultural improvements and renewable energy from ethical bio-fuels. The Oil Based Trees (OBT) model was designed to ensure long-term viability and sustainability in order to limit dependency on outside support.
