Sixth EEP S&EA CFP attracts private sector applications for more than € 30 million
CFP6, the application period of which closed earlier today January 15th, has received close to 100 concept note application submissions for a wide array of both renewable energy and energy efficiency business projects in EEP Partner countries in southern and east Africa. The vast majority features a primary target group for CFP6, i.e. local private sector applicants.
Given that the aggregate amount applied for within the requested grant window totals more than € 30 million and significantly exceeds the funding amount available for CFP6, the challenge fund nature of EEP will now feature somewhat prominently in the concept note screening components to follow.
Since the concept note screening timetable available is rather compact, applicant representatives specified as contact points for the purpose of their particular CFP6 concept note application are encouraged to be as observant and responsive as possible in the next coming days, should further application related information be requested in their particular case.
Once again, many thanks go to all entities who have expressed such strong interest in EEP S&EA activities in conjunction with the CFP6 application period. We now look forward to providing further information to all applicants in the near future once those being invited to submit their full proposals have been determined through the applicable EEP selection process.
