The project in Kibaha District in Tanzania installed demonstration units of two renewable energy technologies: solar PV for electricity provision in health centers, schools and an orphanage and improved institutional wood fuel stoves for cooking in schools. The project replaced unclean sources of energy (the use of kerosene) for lighting and sterilization of equipment at health centers with cleaner and modern energy by providing LPG canisters.
