The purpose of the project was to perform bankable feasibility study for the construction of a multi-purpose solar farm on the farm Spruite near Potchefstroom. The first phase was a 4.5 MW solar PV generation facility and visitors centre. The second phase was a rooftop solar development to serve as nucleus for a sustainable village (future phases) to be used for residential / industrial purposes. The estimated project value was for the initial solar farm development is 8.5 Million Euro.
