This project aimed to introduce and make available to Namibia’s rural schools a new, affordable, fuel efficient wood/biomass stove. The stove requires significantly less wood (and wood harvesting) for cooking and water heating than is currently required using an open fire method. CSA aimed to train 30 stove artisans and build 70 fuel efficient institutional-scale stoves for rural schools in Omusati, Ohangwena, Kavango and Caprivi Regions.
