Gigawatt Global developed a 40MW solar PV plant in Narok County, Transmara, Kenya. The project was located on land hosting a school. The main focus of the project was to open up the Kenyan market to grid-scale solar projects that are not just provided with a PPA but actually financed and built.
The feasibility study went according to plan. Geotech, Topo mapping and Grid studies were completed in Sumburu. Meetings were conducted with local stakeholders to finalize the ESIA and development impact assessment plan.
