The project objective was to design and assemble Solar PV Home Solutions in Zambia. The project aimed to reduce the costs of Solar Home Systems and at the same time increase the quality of these systems. As Solar Home Systems were not currently assembled in Zambia, the project introduced a new business sector to the country.
The project sold over 800 of the assembled Plug & Play systems during the project period, achieving annual cumulative emission reductions of 120.3 tCO2eq/year. As a result of this project 4 Temporary jobs, 17 Permanent jobs in our company, and 11 indirect jobs in sales were created. 2631.77 MWh energy was generated from renewable sources.
