Sollatek Direct’s objective wass the successful training and supporting of a nationwide network of 60 Solar Entrepreneurs selling Sollatek’s wide range of affordable and quality solar lanterns and solar home systems. This would increase energy security, health and economic opportunities for the rural off-gird populations in Kenya.The project aimed to increase the employability and opportunities for youth and women living in rural areas, overcome lack of knowledge issues and increase access to solar energy products through Entrepreneurs, who will be speaking, demonstrating and selling into their communities.

Outcome and Impact:

During the project period there were 21,344 tCO2eq annual emission reductions. The project affected 99,146 households. 60 direct jobs created. 134.59 Mwh per year of energy generated.
