Solar Bakery was a demonstartion project in Burundi. The aim of the project was to install a solar thermal oven to a local bakery near Bujurumba to provide clleaner, more cost efficient method of baking bread and selling it to the local commmunity. The bakery had not been running due to lack of charcoal and firewood, so through this project the village will open a new business and create jobs for women. The project ended in July 2017.
